David Crystal Author of the book “Language Death.” I believe he writes that only 600 of the 6,000 or so languages in the world are safe from extinction. A man who is one of the world’s foremost authorities on language, must love the differences of people and language.

Not that it is nessasary, I can’t read Greek but it would be a cool thing to have.

I love you too!

Hello, I’d like to advertise you that the translation to Portuguese is wrong. The “Merry Christmas From John And Yoko” should be written “Feliz Natal de John e Yoko” and not “Natal Feliz de John e Yoko”.

Thank you! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you , Yoko. For years my brother clipped your “War is Over” ad from the newspaper and put it in his art studio (a yellowed one still hangs there). Just one request: can you provide one in Arabic script? Thank you. Peace & love, Dylan

This has always been my favourite song to listen too during Christmas ever since I first heard it when I was very, very little. I love Happy X-Mas (War is Over) so much that I practically listen to it year round! I’m printing out a bunch of posters and I plan on posting them all over my school.
Thank you for everything you do, Yoko, you’ve always have been a role model to me. Happy Christmas everyone! Let’s keep fighting for peace and the end of all the wars and hate in the world

Much love,

Dear Yoko!
So this is Christmas, and what have we done… – here, where there is a place for great mountains of both Americas and tiny houses of snails, here, where a bird, a lion and a human are born… .
If ” gods” created room for so many, we should respect it even more.
Why do we believe in a man on the Moon, water on Mars, stars millions of light-years away and it is so hard for many of us to believe in …peace here-on Earth?

During my lifetime so much has changed in the world…
But I still look into the mystery of the sky, I still listen to birds in city commotion, I still divert an ant in order not to stamp on it, although life sometimes forces me to keep my feet firmly on the ground… .
I still admire the green when May explodes ( as if in advance, fearing that I would never see it again). I melted icebergs in many hearts, I still feel that fire… ” Isn’t it true that greatest heat is thrown up by a volcano that was supposedly long dead…”:)
I still bend over a man… .
I have always followed your instructions…:)
During my lifetime so much has changed in the world…, but still there are some who find explanation for wars.
That’s why what you do is necessary! Not “scientific dissertations that nobody reads…” as John said.
Let those, who mock such actions and who cannot imagine what he sang about in ‘Imagine’ at
least imagine what the world would be like without such actions, the world where nobody would stand for peace.
And you have already “sawn” so well – those school-kids of mine – the fact that nine-year-olds know who Yoko is, who John was – this is my achievement and personal satisfaction :) ,
but the fact that they can honestly speak for peace, say why they do not want wars and share their views with all the world – this is your achievement indeed!
Thanks to you no one of us must be a “nowhere man” and we do not have to create plans “for nobody”.
Happy Christmas Yoko, happy Xmas, Sean:)

Dear Yoko,

A question about the war is over billboard.
Ther are two original versions: one with love and peace from John & Yoko and one with merry christmas from John & Yoko.
Can you please tell me more about them?
Are they from different city’s or different years?

Love and peace from Henk, Netherlands
