Yoko Ono & Special Guests WE ARE PLASTIC ONO BAND – 2 nights at The Orpheum – **PHOTOS & VIDEO**

Saturday - The night was hot! The whole audience gave a standing ovation to Lady Gaga from the minute she appeared on the stage to when her turn was over. And that is saying a lot. That meant people were standing through the long, long songs - THE SUN IS DOWN and IT'S BEEN VERY HARD. It's a record! At the end of IT'S BEEN VERY HARD, Lady Gaga started to play the piano with her high heel shoes, and I went up on the top of the piano and started jamming lying down. Right away, Lady Gaga climbed up on the piano right next to me, and two of us jammed, in tune, of course. I am sure the audience would never forget this night... You can say that two of us came from one clay.... yoko

A Message from Yoko Ono Lennon: "In this very special year, which would have seen my husband and life partner John reach the age of 70, I hope that this remastering / reissue programme will help bring his incredible music to a whole new audience. By remastering 121 tracks spanning his solo career, I hope also that those who are already familiar with John's work will find renewed inspiration from his incredible gifts as a songwriter, musician and vocalist and from his power as a commentator on the human condition. His lyrics are as relevant today as they were when they were first written and I can think of no more apposite title for this campaign than those simple yet direct words 'Gimme Some Truth'." - Yoko Ono Lennon

ONO: Give Me Something (Sparks Reinvention) Spinner ♫ Song Premiere

by Benjy Eisen, Spinner No stranger to the strange but certainly enjoying a revival on the club floor, Yoko Ono says that her recent success on the dance charts doesn't really reflect a new direction or creative reinvention. "You should listen to songs like 'Men, Men, Men,' 'O'Oh,' 'Will You Touch Me,'" Ono tells Spinner. [...]

Unmixed Q&A + FREE download ♬ ONO “Give Me Something” (Junior Boys Remix)

Yoko Ono has had four consecutive No. 1 hits on the Dance/Club song charts, heralding what she calls the "new era of Yoko Ono." Surprisingly, she says this success originated from something akin to rebellion against her father. Ono was only about four years old when her father, a brilliant pianist, decided she should have formal musical schooling in her home country of Japan. From there, she learned pitch, chords, harmony, melodies both in class and through frequent concerts given before parent-filled audiences.

BAM! by Yoko Ono: We Are Plastic Ono Band: Yoko + incredible special guests: Brooklyn Academy of Music, NY 16 Feb

BAM! Suddenly the audience started to sing Happy Birthday to me right in the middle of the sing along GIVE PEACE A CHANCE! That was such a nice surprise. I was so unprepared for it, I don't even remember if I had thanked the audience or not. Did I? There was so much love circulating, it didn't seem necessary to say anything... We were family. The curtain went down after GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. Sean and I looked at each other. Sean's eyes were twinkling. "You were great." said Sean. "So were you." It was a grand moment. We knew we had been witnesses to something that was bigger than both of us.
