The Iceland Post Company recently published a book on Yoko Ono’s
IMAGINE PEACE TOWER in cooperation with the artist. The tower was
erected on Reykjavík’s Viðey island on October 9, 2007, in the memory
of her late husband John Lennon.

The 100-page book, simply entitled IMAGINE PEACE TOWER, contains a
wealth of information on Ono’s project.

In the book, the artist describes how the idea of the Peace Tower was
born, how she and Lennon met and why they decided to fight for world
peace together.

Photographs from Ono’s private collection are also included in the book,
along with a host of other photographs and illustrations of the Peace
Tower, Viðey island and its surroundings.

The book, available in Icelandic and English, comes with a bonus DVD and
a sheet of stamps depicting the Peace Tower, which were released by the
Post on October 9 this year.
The book is distributed by Heimur, the publisher of Iceland Review,
is available from Heimur webstore here and from Iceland Post here.

Thank You Yoko, for all the info and good vibes you keep sending our way!
Good Karma your way! and much love too! Your friend Linda x
Yoko, thank you for keeping the light on the peace of the world. We all love you and appreciate your keeping the light burning for John as well. His light will never go out and neither will yours. We are right beside you and with you. Love, Sandy
Hi Yoko,
I share ‘the US versus John Lennon’ with all my friends.
We all miss John, but as you say, he lives on, and on and on.
I was a Hare Krishna back in the 1980s and I’ve heard a few stories and seen pictures of some “devotees” at your Bed-In.
I think everyone wishes they could have helped you and John and protected you as well. I don’t think you realised just how demoniac the forces were and still are that plunder the world.
I am very glad to see you working on and reminding us of yours and John’s mission. It is a great philosophy, too simple for the twisted to understand, and very profound as well.
I think there are instant karma causes that come back on people in the form of tyrannical “leaders”. Of course it is often a great willingness to step in line with such demoniac leaders who offer bigoted profit ideals to the molders of society who aid in this journey of heartless plunder.
I feel we need to consider all life sacred and look and see where we fail to acknowledge all life in such a way. Of course this planet seems to be for the most selfish and rebellious against the supreme absolute at the upper elitist circles.
I suppose a hellish world lets some show their devotion to what is better.
Bhaktivedanta Swami said that the Beatles had come down as “fallen” heavenly singers from heavenly planets. Maybe John and George are back up there.
You are an interesting character too. I doubt if many understood you back in the day. I didn’t like some of your singing on John’s records, but I was a kid, and maybe that’s what you wanted.
You and John were quite a pair in a very strange time.
I pray that you shine on and on and on and on.
Hare Krishna. Give Peace a Chance.
