Yoko Ono – IMAGINE PEACE FOREVER
Dallas Museum of Art
Dallas, Texas
On view through August 22, 2016

In response to the tragedy that took place in downtown Dallas on July 7, 2016, Yoko Ono has mounted a message of positivity at the Dallas Museum of Art. IMAGINE PEACE FOREVER, an original work of art displayed in both Spanish and English, is installed on the Museum’s Ross Avenue Plaza. The text-based work presented as a large-scale banner is a new version of Yoko Ono’s seminal artwork IMAGINE PEACE (2001). Ono added the word “Forever” to emphasize that eternal peace is possible. The work calls for peace on many levels: in your own being, in your relationships, in the city, and globally. The work will be on view on Ross Avenue Plaza through August 22.
