SWEET RELIEF TO RAISE MONEY FOR JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO LENNON’S SAXOPHONIST STANLEY BRONSTEIN

Sweet Relief is asking for your help in providing assistance to Stanley Bronstein who has been battling lung and brain cancer.

Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund was contacted by the loving family of Stanley Bronstein in an effort to find support for this great contributer to American music and culture.

Stanley’s career in music provided him with the opportunity to play with such great artists as Tommy Dorsey, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and John and Yoko Ono. As a member of The Plastic Ono Band Elephants Memory, Stanley performed the One To One concert to benefit handicapped children and now Sweet Relief is reaching out to the music community to provide Stanley with the same kind of support.

Yoko Ono Lennon, who has offered her assistance, had this to say about Stanley Bronstein:

“Stanley Bronstein is a passionate and uniquely talented musician who has the skill to improvise any form of music without pondering even for a second. He is also good hearted, and makes his band follow his lead with spirit of fun and joy. His reliable presence affected the performance of both John and I as well. We both loved and respected him. “

Yoko Ono Lennon, February 25, 2011

Stanley has undergone chemotherapy and brain surgery and is unable to work as a musician and earn a living, which in turn prohibits him from moving closer to his family. Stanley’s financial situation has become increasingly difficult as his social security and disability does not cover basic living expenses.

If you would like to assist Stanley please visit our donation page and choose the Stanley Bronstein Fund under Program Designation. Checks can be made out to Sweet Relief/Stanley Bronstein Fund and mailed to:
