@lodeddiperrrrrr rachel singer
hi yoko. How are you doing today? Peace and love
I’m doing more than fine. I’m quite ecstatic about life.
@ARPATRICKTAPE Patrick Tape Fleming
Will you please reissue your Plastic ONO BAND album! I love, “WHY,” and would love to own it on Vinyl! LOVE TO U!
I think it will be out in 2013 – my 80th birthday year, unless it’s out before or after that.
@gretchenraine Gretchen Donelson
I have 2 doctor appointments Monday and I’m already nervous. Do you ever get nervous about going to the doctor?
That’s why I don’t go to doctors.
@greerstorm Greer Riddell
How do I stop worrying?
By having fun.
@Sincolari_o Adam Sinclair
What advice would you give to somebody looking to give up their job in an office to peruse being an artist in this day of age?
This is precisely the right age to be an artist! Join the bandwagon. It’s not too late!!!
@Big_Al_Davies Big Al Davies
Would you consider releasing your early movie experiments as a commercial release? Maybe with extras
They are not very commercial. That was the point.
@greerstorm Greer Riddell
Dear Yoko, can tourists visit the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER anytime in the year?
Of course. See www.IMAGINEPEACETOWER.com http://imaginepeacetower.com for details.
@seekzpeace Lori Triba
I dreamed of you last night Yoko. Do you have anything reccurring in your dreams or anything you particularly like to dream of?
Give me a fun dream.
@p_eom
What is the sound of on orange, dreaming?
Very orange.
Richard Lynch
Yoko, how are you???
I ask the same question looking at the mirror in the morning.
Jennifer Bravery
do you believe that the world is over populated?
It’s not until you are in my bedroom!
Klaus Bergmaier
On this occasion I’d like to thank you for having giant “War Is Over” and “Imagine Peace” posters attached to a huge building right in my very hometown, Krems, a smalltown in Austria. We are extremely proud of that.
That makes me proud, too. Thank you for letting me know.
Rosilyn Vanessa Holliday
I’m truly missing music that has meaning and filling to one’s soul. Is it wrong for me to feel that way?
Make your own, then.
Steve Chalk
Greetings Yoko, Though I no longer practice currently as a Psychotherapist I’ve seen and been privy to much suffering on all levels. Of anyone I’ve ever read about you have been subjected to some of the most unjust, unfair and undeserving criticism of probably any world figure I can think of publicly. Your exposure to various traumas has been many yet outwardly you exude strength despite what the world has thrown at you . (Of course you have had much praise as well) What do you privately ( that you are willing to share) That has helped you transcend the burdens you have faced. Much peace to you always.Steve
I did not get any praise until people found out that I survived. If you want to survive, you must transcend all negative stuff in your life and go for it.
Heather Miller
Who inspired you most to become an artist and musician?
Nobody inspired me. I just went for art and music. It came easier to me than things like racing cars.
Hannah Gale
What makes you feel healthy?
When I can have fun with the beauty of life.
Alexandra R Brun
Hey Yoko!!! So i see a lot of people have the same question i do… I just wanted to know how you feel about this sudden awake around the world against the economy and the capitalist system in general? And why you think it had been easier for people of this generation to stand up against economy crisis and not as much against the existing wars?
I think many of us are standing up against wars. It is important to know about what is happening to the world economy as well.
We divide our works.
Pat Schuver
There are those that have and those that have not. The middle class is being wiped out no matter how hard they work. Do you believe this is by design? Even so, how does the middle class survive? How can the poor survive with such huge gaps?
It’s not so cut and dry as you put it. Some upper class dude can go broke, and commit suicide. Some homeless person loves his life of making money by playing chess in the park.
Charles Dean Link
How do we learn to trust again?
I have been betrayed by so many in my life. I still trust people, since that is easier for me. I am healthy because I trust. Not trusting is bad for the health of your mind and bod.
Maura Kelly
Hi, Yoko! I saw some of your work in the Fluxus exhibit at the Hood Gallery at Dartmouth. I love your work and it has made me really aware of how much your sensibility and background affected John and what you two did together (particularly Bed Peace and a lot of the early events-recordings-etc). I can see both of you in your collaborations. But what I was wondering was, how do you feel John’s background as a rock and roller affected YOUR work? What do you feel his sensibility brought to YOUR work?
I come from a very elitist background I’m not proud of. Being with John, gave me a first hand look of the working class and about the fact that being a guy in this society is not all that wonderful. I’ve learnt about the other half of the sky. Thank you, John.
Steve Vermeulen
What do you think is on the other side?
The same.
Bárbara Stella
Love Yoko! Thanks for be yourself for such a long time! Do you remember the Peace Bell you’ve played at your Hotel in Brasilia (Brasil) in 1998? One that was made from melted bullets? I’d like to talk about this …
You did. Thank you for reminding me about it!
Shelley Williams Bradford
Thank you for making yourself available. This is a very generous offer. It’s cool to see so many people recognizing all that you have to offer. I watched the George Harrison documentary on HBO this week. It was riveting. I was wondering if you still meditate….it seems such a necessary practice especially *now* 2011. I appreciate how much you guys seemed to have searched for ways to elevate us all. I am moved by your unselfishness. Thank you.
We were just being ourselves.
love, yoko

yoko what does it mean ” I’m in phase 9 now”,( your response to fact you don’t cook but put energy else where) what is is significant about the # 9? Does John’s Revolution #9 share a meaning?
with a handshake in thought.

YOKO, THIS MAN Jacque Fresco’s, HAS DEDICATIED HIS WHOLE LIFE TO A NEW WORLD FOR US TO LIVE IN PEACE, BUT NO ONE IN THE USA WILL LISTEN OR LOOK AT HIS ART AND DREAMS CAUSE OF HIS EDUCATION.” IMAGINE” IS WHAT HE IS ALL ABOUT AND HOPEFULLY WITH YOUR HELP SOMEONE WILL LISTEN TO HIS WONDERFUL AND AMAZING IDEAS! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK OVER HIS WEBSITE AND YOU WILL SEE WHY I FEEL THIS MAN JUST WANTS TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, JUST AS YOU AND I DO. I LOVE YOU FOR LOVING ALL OF US, AND I AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THAT YOU AND JOHN DO TO SEARCH FOR PEACE FOR ALL OF US!
Thank you so much for answering my question Yoko
Joseph Martin john is a light that will never go out for all you need is love will continue to feed this light
he was a poet, songwriter, composer, a father, a champion for peace but most of all he was just a man. unlike paul m. he could feel and write a…bout pain and longing and reach the depths of dispair and somehow it was beautiful Help i need somebody, so i sing a song of love for julia, mother you had me but i never had you, women you understand the little child inside a man, i was dreaming in the past and my heart was beating fast, if you want money for people with minds that hate all i can tell you brother you’ll have to wait, war is over if you want it, no need for greed or hungar a brotherhood of man,but most of all IN MY LIFE I LOVE YOU MORE
happy birthday john you are loved and i and millions more will miss you
Yoko, your message is beautiful and we still believe in Peace.
Here in South America we fight everyday for our beliefs, our ideals, our peace motives and for the beauty of life.
Sometimes is very hard to swim against the currents, against over consumption, against the media, against the powerful and their money.
But when i saw you and your willpower to keep screaming for peace and love for everyone, i feel alive now and i’ll keep yelling and working to build a better world for us all.
Thank you Yoko. Mata ne!
Felipe Nadeau.
i need your help!…i’m in a big emotional crisis and i don’t think i’m handling too well….
[...] I relation till händelsen med Gloria Emerson är det intressant att läsa Yoko Onos svar på en fråga från RMG_Design på twitter om vad hon tror om de ständigt växande sociala mediernas roll i att skapa ”worldpeace and harmony”. Yoko svarar: [...]
Hello Yoko, thank you for being available. I was at MoMA this past weekend…I screamed and made a wish. Thanks for bringing me full circle…and thank you for your he(art). I will be thinking of you and John tomorrow. Xo jen
Hi Jen! It’s nice that you participated in the scream piece and screamed. Your scream joined all the other screams of that piece performed in MOMA, and is sending out a strong vibration and making a strong statement to the world. love, yoko
Many years ago in NY you and John did a TV show on channel 13 which I attended. I have never heard anything relating to this show. Could you please let me know why.
Love and God Bless
That show still exists as a video and is played once in awhile by the TV station.
My next cd with my poems / music will be dedicated to you and John. This because of the good vibes you’re givin’ to the world. More than thanks, and with lovin’ greetings from The Netherlands,
Jos Witteman
Once again thank you very much for taking the time to answer the questions your much appreciated n loved..cheers, thanks.
Live forever
HI Yoko,
I am doing a write up on Cut Piece. I was wondering what is a message or representation you were trying to say with this piece?
Thanks,
Kallie
There are many layers of statements in that piece. It is not just one. yoko
Thank you for the answers that you shared to me especially about questions related when you were expecting a baby with John.. One of my favorites is you are craving meat and cabbage and about morning sickness.. hope if you don’t mind I could post some questions that was bugging in my head. it is all about Sean when he was not yet born (I mean inside your womb)… again thank you…
Love your response to my query, thank you so much for your work. You’re absolutely right about love.
Yoko, God bless you, love nessus
Yoko, one day I drove through Florida and felt incredibly sad, for no apparent reason, later, I found out Nam June Paik had died, how did you feel on that day? do you remember?
Yes. I felt sad. He was a good friend. yoko
Love your work Yoko !!!
Yoko, do you believe in “an eye for an eye”? those who kill should be killed in return or anything like that?
No. Watch this.
Thank you Yoko for taking the time to answer these questions. Your ideas inspire me.
