Albert Murrian
Congrats on your five-star review in Bust magazine! You are an inspiration to artists everywhere.

Thank you, Albert.

Luca New
Hi Yoko, I’m very excited for the release of YES I’M A WITCH TOO! Can you talk about it? I love your music and I love you!

Let’s see how it does!

Ines Bertolucci
Hello Yoko, here in Sao Paulo city, Brazil, the young people are doing protests in the streets every week, and the police are using violence to stop them. Robert Crumb gave an ilustration to Movimento Passe Livre, the popular organization that are protesting; would you join with them, with the young people from my city, doing anything to help us from police violence?

I will protest.

Lisa Masiero
Hi Yoko. You still seem so graceful and energetic. I find parts of my body really hurt as I age. What’s your secret? You never age!

A young body can hurt sometimes, too, you know. Especially in the cold like today. I just tell myself that my bod is young and it is not hurting.

Cheryl Lee Gravitt
Crazy question … Did you keep some of your hair when you finally cut it years ago ? What made you cut it ? Do you believe what some people say about only young(er) people should have long hair ? My Grandmother’s hair ( Mom’s Mom) was down to her feet. My Mom remembers brushing her hair, as a little girl. :) She would always keep her hair in a bun. Easier that way, she was continuously working at stuff like milking cows, cooking…

I am also continuously working. I found it is easier when your hair doesn’t get in your eyes!

David Liljemark
Please tell us how the amazing powerhouse riff in Don’t Worry Kyoko came about!

That’s John. You know, John Lennon? He wanted to show me he was not just a pop star. Listen to all the riffs which came out of him since we started to jam together.

Brian McAfee
Hi Yoko. I really enjoy Real Love and Free As A Bird. Is there a chance any other songs John was working on will be given to Paul and Ringo to complete? If not, thank you for allowing Paul, George and Ringo to work on those. I’ve always thought that was very thoughtful of you. I hear New York has a big snow storm arriving this weekend. Be safe and thank you for taking our questions each week.

Yes. It’s a snow storm! I love snow. So I am happy reading and typing in my tiny study. A lot of ideas are coming to me.

Dave Puls
Thanks, so much for your efforts in fostering peace in the world, Yoko Ono. My question is: How can we encourage more people to come to know their love rather than slog along through their fears?

It is happening very fast, I think. People are getting more and more romantic about life, again.

Chris Moore
How do continue to reinvent yourself in spite of hardship and tragedy?

Because that’s the only thing we can do. Reinventing is actually fun. Tell yourself how you want to do it. Tell your friends how you are doing it. You and your friends will be into a big surprise.

Marc Bolan
You still stay in contact with Dick Cavett?

I know how he is still ticking. I love and respect him. He was not the usual TV guy. Very smart.

Ursula Richards
Just want to say, you are an amazing person an artist and lots of love you have spread around the world. There should be more people like yourself, there will be no war! Thank you Yoko Ono for being you!

Thank you for your encouragement. Let’s all keep spreading love on Earth.

Hi Yoko! Today is my 21st birthday. What is your best birthday memory?

When I came out of my mom’s bod. February 18th, l933, I think. That was a pretty memorable day for me.

Sara ‏@Sara31895268
Dear Yoko, Hello how are you? How may we strongly live kindly and beautifully?

If you want to, you can do it. Listen to your heartbeat. It will tell you what you want to do. And your brain will tell if you can be succcessful to do it or not. Yes. And answer it – You can.

Celestial Chitta ‏@CelestialChitta
What question do you ask yourself to let go of, or to resolve anything troublesome or conflicting within, to bring peace back?

You can resolve anything. Anything troublesome or conflicting within will disappear in time if you trust it and be quiet about it.

kylie ‏@KylieDackYeah
What were your first impressions when you saw Sean acting in ‘Moonwalker’? such an amazing film! peace and love ❤️

I am a lucky mom to have such a talented kid.

Lisa Gold ‏@LisaGoldNY
Dear Yoko, What books are you reading now?

I’m re-reading three books which give you clarity and good energy:
Louise Hay – YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE
Yogi Bhajan – THE ANCIENT ART OF SELF-HEALING
Deepak Chopra – THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS OF SUCCESS

When I fear death, what is it I’m really afraid of?

You want to think about death? It is a waste of your time. So just give a nice smile, and move on before death will get you!

Kimberly Crawley ‏@kim_crawley
What’s your take on the #FlintWaterCrisis? Do you appreciate Michael Moore’s work? #ArrestSnyder

I think Michael is one of the strongest activists in this country, constantly thinking how to better the world.

Gary Brumback ‏@LibertyQuotient
Yoko, I’ve been imagining peace 4ever, writing books, trying to mobilize millions of us & always failing. What’s your answer?

What is your criteria of failing? I don’t think you are failing at all. If you turned one person with your effort, that will go a long way. You probably don’t know if your words are being heard.

Tamika Transformer ‏@tamikatravels
Peace isnt about $. But to build peace collectively, we need power & $. How can we get more funding for peace projects?

You don’t necessarily have to have funding. Think of another way. Keith Haring put his painting in the subway for people to see. I’ve communicated successfully by using methods that require too much money. Let your brain think up something that doesn’t necessarily rely on funds.

Albert Murrian ‏@AlbertBMurrian
You have given me so many words of wisdom and good advice. I’m wondering: What is the best advice that anyone’s ever given to you?

I have learnt so much from just breathing life every day. You shouldn’t just look for an adviser. No adviser knows what you need more than yourself. Think of a creative way that suits you to achieve your success.

Joseph Martin john is a light that will never go out for all you need is love will continue to feed this light
he was a poet, songwriter, composer, a father, a champion for peace but most of all he was just a man. unlike paul m. he could feel and write a…bout pain and longing and reach the depths of dispair and somehow it was beautiful Help i need somebody, so i sing a song of love for julia, mother you had me but i never had you, women you understand the little child inside a man, i was dreaming in the past and my heart was beating fast, if you want money for people with minds that hate all i can tell you brother you’ll have to wait, war is over if you want it, no need for greed or hungar a brotherhood of man,but most of all IN MY LIFE I LOVE YOU MORE
happy birthday john you are loved and i and millions more will miss you

  5. Felipe says:

Yoko, your message is beautiful and we still believe in Peace.

Here in South America we fight everyday for our beliefs, our ideals, our peace motives and for the beauty of life.

Sometimes is very hard to swim against the currents, against over consumption, against the media, against the powerful and their money.

But when i saw you and your willpower to keep screaming for peace and love for everyone, i feel alive now and i’ll keep yelling and working to build a better world for us all.

    Thank you Yoko. Mata ne!

    Felipe Nadeau.
