What song plays in your heart when you wake each day Yoko?

I love to hear the birds cooing at the windows.

Bianca Aarrestad
How do you keep yourself so young and beautiful inside and outside? Peace&Love

Thank you. I still feel young and healthy in my mind and body. But it all depends on the day, you know. Sometimes I look at the mirror in the morning and think “Oh, dear! what happened?”

Albert Murrian
I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world. But I know you’ve had to deal with a lot of senseless ageism, racism, and sexism in your lifetime. All of that stuff seems to bounce right off of you. Nothing keeps you down. You stay positive, no matter what, and you do it with style. When I see a picture of you smiling, it makes me smile. What is your secret to living a happy life?

I’m aware that happiness keeps you young and healthy. Sadness and anger makes you and those around you unhappy. So every day, I try to shake off bad feelings before I go to sleep, and count my blessings as I go to the dream land.

Lars Ville Jensen
Whats your favorite Japanese herbal medicine cure? Do you still like plums?

Plums are good. But there is so much else. I wish somebody will translate the old Chinese Medicine book and the new Japanese medicine books. It will make things much easier for you. It will refresh your brain power.

David Liljemark
I’m one of those who never get tired of “Revolution 9″. Can you tell us something about the piece or your memories from when it was done, that you haven’t mentioned earlier? Favourite part, perhaps?

There’s good energy and great sense of humour. I mainly think of the day we were creating it together. It was fun, like Zen Koan can be fun.

Simon Taté
Do you ever wonder if John might have become prime minister or president, if he was still with us?

I don’t think John would have ever wanted to waste his time being presidents and ministers. He was the king of his own world and was doing pretty well..

Tim Barton
To you, and this is a hard one, what is your all-time favourite physical piece of art? I mean painting or sculpture, and why? Thank you, and peace.

I hope I would never limit myself to liking one sculpture or a painting. There are so many great non-conceptual artworks I love.

Angela Timberlake
When love is a choice, should we always choose it?

Love comes with understanding. Once you understand, you cannot help but letting love follow it.

B.k. Believe
Dear Yoko, I was wondering is there one thing you have not done yet that you really want to do? Wishing you a magic filled week. Kailee

There are lots and lots of things I have not done yet and would want want to – starting with visiting every village, town and city in our interesting, exciting, mysterious and fantastkc world.

Albert Murrian
What is your favorite place to watch the dawn?

The White Room, as we call it. It’s our living room, and it’s facing East. It’s great to see the sunrise, when we return from working all night in the studio.

Yoshikazu Fujimoto
Hi, Yoko. August 15 is the anniversary of the end of the war for Japanese people and I happened to see a sticker of “WAR IS OVER” in Tokyo (Jinbocho) today. What do you think is the most important for peaceful relationship across borders?

Try to learn each others mind language. You don’t have to try to learn everybody’s mind language – just of people who moved in your neighborhood, so to spesak. Or somebody you happened to bump into or fell in love with. Just do it without fear. yoko

do you recommend something for teens to read before becoming an adult and going into the “real world”?

They should read whatever attracts them. Just know that teens are right in the real world already, learning every day how to survive.

A lover has to be also a friend or is something different?

Love is born through understanding. So it will be wierd if you are not friends as well.

Hi Yoko. Do you ever read the wishes people put on your Wish Trees?

I make a point of not reading them, because I believe the wishes are sacred communications from people to the sky.

Joseph Martin john is a light that will never go out for all you need is love will continue to feed this light
he was a poet, songwriter, composer, a father, a champion for peace but most of all he was just a man. unlike paul m. he could feel and write a…bout pain and longing and reach the depths of dispair and somehow it was beautiful Help i need somebody, so i sing a song of love for julia, mother you had me but i never had you, women you understand the little child inside a man, i was dreaming in the past and my heart was beating fast, if you want money for people with minds that hate all i can tell you brother you’ll have to wait, war is over if you want it, no need for greed or hungar a brotherhood of man,but most of all IN MY LIFE I LOVE YOU MORE
happy birthday john you are loved and i and millions more will miss you

  5. Felipe says:

Yoko, your message is beautiful and we still believe in Peace.

Here in South America we fight everyday for our beliefs, our ideals, our peace motives and for the beauty of life.

Sometimes is very hard to swim against the currents, against over consumption, against the media, against the powerful and their money.

But when i saw you and your willpower to keep screaming for peace and love for everyone, i feel alive now and i’ll keep yelling and working to build a better world for us all.

    Thank you Yoko. Mata ne!

    Felipe Nadeau.
