@geknana
Mrs. Yoko if you would make a school for peace what kind of principles that you will emphasize??

That we should learn to love and respect ourselves.

@TubbyTitWitch
Hi Yoko. Your name has 4 letter ‘O’ in it. Was John a good cook?

Yes. He was! This is fun! yoko

@ultimaesperenza
When was the last time you got really angry? What did you do about it?

I was upset, not angry. There is a difference you know. If you are upset, you are not being angry at any specific person. You are just upset about the situation. If you are angry, you usually have somebody you are angry at.

@purpleaneaters
If you could live as a character from any book, who would it be and why?

I barely have time to live as me. Why should I try to be some character in a book?

@ericap0128
Do you believe in happily ever after?

Like with some guy? No. I am happily ever after now, being lucky enough to be single.

@getagrip1
yoko, what would the music industry be like today, if john was still with us? “Don’t let me down” is my favorite song :)

I think John’s work have always kept the industry jumping. Look at what’s happening to the Beatles’ remasters? They are jumping now, and John is probably jumping happily.

@Imamusicmonster
Yoko what is your favourite ALBUM from start to finish and why lol sorry that’s two but I NEED to know hope alls well

My favorite album is DOUBLE FANTASY, and the reason is the theme of the album helped many men and women, and is still helping.

@BeppyB
What is on your personal “Bucket List”?

Nothing. I like to take it as it comes…not have a list.

@culturalwisdom
What is your opinion on basic income policies, both morally and economically?

I am probably one of the last few people who believe in capitalism. But I do. Just give us women double of your salaries and we’ll shut up:)

@Elfiem
Do you think that citizen’s income (an income paid by the state to everyone) could combat poverty?

No. It will only make the rich ones leave the country, and the poor ones become lazy.

@gk_tany
What kinds of song did John ordinary sing, such as ‘HANA UTA’ in Japanese, when he felt good?

When he felt good, I saw him smiling, but not singing.

@ctbgirl
Thanks for signing your latest book today. I was happy to hear that you said my name. It’s raining here in Tokyo. How do you spend time during rain? Do you have any memories of the rainy day with John?

There was a long week in Karuizawa, when it never stopped raining. John made some beautiful collages during that time.

@Mr_headphones
Why do you think the revolution of the 60′s & 70′s failed,& what needs to be done differently during the next wave?

We are not waiting for the next wave. We are busy creating a silent revolution now. If you don’t know it, still, you should know that you are part of it.

@j5randolph
what do you think the next revoloution will be like?

It is called the silent revolution and it’s happening now.

@ebayoan
we want you here in Puerto Rico… there’s any possibility?

Send a note to my office when you are wanting that to happen.

@NicTaLife
Did you kind of have a feeling that Sean and Julian would go into music like their father?

Yes.

@PossiblyPeter
I’m at Sarah Lawrence, and opposite the library there’s this awesome abstract sculpture that everyone says you built. did you?

I don’t remember. But if I saw it, I might.

@xCocoHoneyx
in one sentence, what would you say is the definition of perfect love?

What you dream of.

@thestylehive
Where any of your hats Halston, particularly the iconic white one?

It could be. I haven’t looked.

@Nitrobezene
do you attend Paul or Ringo’s concerts at times?

Yes. I definitely do.

@madamemuffin
when did you first feel your art made a difference on this planet? advice for fledgling creatives?

They may have made a difference much earlier, but who am I to know. So, fledging creatives, don’t get too discouraged. Somebody was sure to be there before you.

@chris_noland
Have you ever lived anywhere that you did not initially know the language and where?

Planet Earth.

@MickMurphy_
Ok..How would you suggest that I accept trust in my life and believe in it?

Because the choice is either that or live in a mental hospital in your head.

    Joseph Martin john is a light that will never go out for all you need is love will continue to feed this light
    he was a poet, songwriter, composer, a father, a champion for peace but most of all he was just a man. unlike paul m. he could feel and write a…bout pain and longing and reach the depths of dispair and somehow it was beautiful Help i need somebody, so i sing a song of love for julia, mother you had me but i never had you, women you understand the little child inside a man, i was dreaming in the past and my heart was beating fast, if you want money for people with minds that hate all i can tell you brother you’ll have to wait, war is over if you want it, no need for greed or hungar a brotherhood of man,but most of all IN MY LIFE I LOVE YOU MORE
    happy birthday john you are loved and i and millions more will miss you

  5. Felipe says:

    Yoko, your message is beautiful and we still believe in Peace.

    Here in South America we fight everyday for our beliefs, our ideals, our peace motives and for the beauty of life.

    Sometimes is very hard to swim against the currents, against over consumption, against the media, against the powerful and their money.

    But when i saw you and your willpower to keep screaming for peace and love for everyone, i feel alive now and i’ll keep yelling and working to build a better world for us all.

    Thank you Yoko. Mata ne!

    Felipe Nadeau.
