by Greg B., PS22 Chorus

Thoroughly proud to present the video premiere from the PS22 Chorus of 2011, putting a new spin on the John Lennon classic, “Imagine.” I don’t think any of my choruses in all the years previous has put forth a more solid debut in such a short amount of time! Harmonies are tight, the feeling is there, and this group is ready to rawwwwk!! This was filmed today at only the 2nd rehearsal with the full group. Azaria delights with her unique instrument and pitch-perfect delivery on the solo, and Mr. Eberle adds that extra magic touch guesting on the acoustic guitar. So it’s safe to say, 2011’s IN DA HOUSE — and it’s bound to be quite a year!

And as always, love and thanks to Ms. Lisa for capturing this performance (and countless others!) on video……

About The PS22 Chorus

The PS22 Chorus was formed in the year 2000. We are an ever-changing group of 5th graders from a public elementary school in Staten Island, New York. We are NOT a school for the arts or a magnet program.

The chorus has become a bonafide internet sensation over the last few years, singing choral renditions of classic & alternative pop songs. The kids have sung with Tori Amos, Passion Pit, Crowded House, Common, Celtic Woman, & Matisyahu! They have also performed for President Obama and the first family, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Rihanna, Jordin Sparks, Randy Jackson, Marcia Gay Harden, Nancy Pelosi, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Celebrity fans include Perez Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, Jason Mraz, Tom Kaulitz (Tokio Hotel), Suzanne Vega, Rob Dyrdeck, Innocence Mission, Bonnie Hunt, David Hasselhoff, Alyssa Milano, and many more…..

The PS22 Chorus has been seen on the VH1 Divas 2009 Special, Nightline, MTV, Good Morning America, and many more. The group was featured on National Public Radio, the BBC, and even Howard Stern.
