Unfortunately, many people do not consider any idea of improvement and change in the future just because there are problems to be faced in the present. Yes, we have all of those bad marks: high taxes, government corruption, low education and high violence rates. And it's our responsibility to change this, all of us, Brazilian citizens! But I see an initiative such as this proposed here as something that could help to make those changes, because it implies the starting movement towards a new paradigm. Nurturing a culture of peace is not only desirable, but also essential. If someone thinks that it just would do no good, I can only say "sorry for your position of true pessimism"

I totally agree with phor91 ("a ministry of peace wouldn’t do anything good, it would be just another way to steal money from the taxes we pay, if u take a look in Brazil news, every week its another scandal of our governors taking our money"). As a Brazilian citizen, I don't share the measures taken by the actual Brazilian government and when it comes to making peace, I don't believe in their promises.

To have true peace. Must have, education and respect for populção similar. Only thus we will have peace. If our governments would use the laws and projects that already exist... now would be the first step toward that reality.

Its kinda funny how Americans talk about Brazil without getting to know the real problem, a ministry of peace wouldn't do anything good, it would be just another way to steal money from the taxes we pay, if u take a look in Brazil news, every week its another scandal of our governors taking our money
