Tue 01 Apr 2014 - Written work

ON THE DAY OF THE BIRTH OF NUTOPIA – 1 April 2014 Nutopia is a country that exists in all of us. John and I created this imaginary world. We called a press conference and produced a white handkerchief from our pockets and said “This is a flag to Surrender to Peace.” Not Fight for […]

JOHN & YOKO Wedding Anniversary 20 March 1969

Thu 20 Mar 2014 - Feature, Interviews & Articles

Yoko: “Let’s go back to the future, you know. That’s why we’re here. We want to talk mainly to the young people all over the world, because those are the people who are going to be the next generation. They’re going to be the next world, you know, and we just want to say we are with them. We’re not preaching or anything like that. We want to be with them and we’re with them.”

Listen to John & Yoko on honeymoon spreading their peace message in Amsterdam.

Truthout exclusive: Interview With Rep. Dennis Kucinich

Mon 20 Sep 2010 - Imagine All The People

“He challenges us to imagine a world in which ‘peace is inevitable.’” Hey, if that is not Dennis’ way of saying hello to IMAGINEPEACE.com, I don’t know what is! Our work has not been in vain. It’s choking me up… yoko

Almost nine years into longest war in US history, at a time when the US spends more on its military budget than the rest of the world combined and endless war seems a frighteningly realistic possibility, Maya Schenwar from TruthOut spoke with Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), a long-time advocate for peace. Kucinich reminds us that there is another way: that through unity, persistence and a deeply necessary change in mindset, we can move toward a world in which mutual respect and global connections shape foreign policy, and the self-fulfilling prophecy of war loses its tragic momentum. He challenges us to imagine a world in which “peace is inevitable.”

Honor Mother’s Day by telling our leaders to invest in PEACE building

Sat 08 May 2010 - Imagine All The People

Early advocates of celebrating Mother’s Day in the United States envisioned it as a day of peace, to honor and support mothers who had lost sons and husbands to the carnage of the Civil War. In 1870 – nearly 40 years before it became an official U.S. holiday in 1914 – social justice pioneer Julia Ward Howe issued her famous Mother’s Day Proclamation, which called upon mothers of all nationalities to band together to promote the “amicable settlement of international questions, the great and general interests of peace.”
